Alden Stowe is an Actuarial Manager in Optum Advisory Services’ Commercial Actuarial team. In addition to traditional actuarial work, his expertise includes visual analytics, geospatial analytics, predictive modeling, optimization, commercial client consulting, underwriting analytics, and application development. Alden has nine years of health insurance industry experience working with payers, providers and employers. Prior to joining Optum, Alden began his career at a multi-state Blue Cross Blue Shield plan where he spent five years providing actuarial, underwriting, and client consulting. Alden graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
